The service
SpellMistake provides free online tools that suggest corrections to spelling, grammar, punctuation and style. The free tools may change, and we may limit, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time.
Acceptable use
- Use the tools for normal, personal or professional writing.
- Do not send automated or bulk requests, scrape the site, or try to get around usage limits.
- Do not use the site to process unlawful content or to harm the site, its users or its service providers.
- Do not try to access parts of the site or its systems that are not meant to be public.
Your content
You keep all rights to the text you check. SpellMistake does not claim ownership of it and does not store it. See our Privacy Policy for how text is processed.
Suggestions are not guaranteed
Automated checkers can miss mistakes and can suggest changes that are wrong for your context. Always review suggestions before accepting them. You are responsible for the final text you publish, submit or send.
Paid services
Proofreading, editing and other paid services are provided under the terms agreed for each order, including price and delivery time. Where those terms differ from these, the order terms apply.
Third-party services
Grammar checks are processed by LanguageTool, and the site uses other third-party providers described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, which have their own terms.
Intellectual property
The SpellMistake name, design, articles and guides are owned by SpellMistake. You may link to and quote short passages with attribution, but you may not copy the site or its content in bulk.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpellMistake is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or its suggestions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be handled by the competent courts of Pakistan, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
